Professional designer and artist Vladimir Grechukhin made his first pipe in 1970 when he was just 20 years of age. This first pipe was born in the workshop of his teacher - famous Soviet master Alexey Fedorov. In the beginning of 1980-s Vladimir became a member of Artist's Union of Russia. All his professional activity was aimed on design and pipe-making. Since 2007 he devoted himself to pipe-making only. Grechukhin makes about 100 pipes per year using the best briar and other materials. His pipes are stamped with Grech and two figures indicating the year of making. |
